Michael Colby Jones is an Actor, Director, Teacher, Husband, and Father...

not necessarily in that order. 


MCJ is one of of eight in the inaugural class to be certified by Patsy Rodenburg to tech her techniques in Voice, Speech, and Heightened Text.


MCJ ‘s additional training includes a Post Graduate Diploma in Classical Acting from LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts), an MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College, and a BFA in Musical Theater from Ithaca College. 


While based out of NYC, over the course of his career MCJ has practiced his stage and screen craft in Britain, Russia, and USA, with some of the most talented folk in the field, including, Elaine Hendrix, LaChanze, Patsy Rodenberg, Rodney Cottier (Shakespeare’s Globe, London), John Basil (American Globe, NYC), and Alexey Lysenkov (Moscow Arts Theater).


A proud resident of Brooklyn Heights, MCJ is a working actor and currently teaches in the BFA Acting program at Brooklyn College, focusing on Classical Acting and the study and application of kinetics for the integration of Voice & Movement techniques.
